Sam L. Langston MAI, Principal |
Mr. Langston is the principal of L&A and has been involved in real estate/finance, appraisal and consulting for over twenty three (23) years. He has received an MAI designation for appraisers involved in the valuation and analysis of commercial, industrial and general real estate from the Appraisal Institute. MAI appraisers have an advanced level of expertise and experience in the valuation of commercial, industrial, residential and other types of properties and may advise clients on real estate decisions. In order to earn the MAI designation, Sam successfully completed a graduate-level curriculum, which includes a comprehensive exam, a written demonstration appraisal report and 3,000 hours of qualifying experience beyond state certification requirements. In addition, Sam is also a registered Idaho State General Appraiser and has attained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Mississippi. He was formerly an associate appraiser with Janoush & Associates in Boise, Idaho and specializes in providing appraisal and real estate services for private and public sector institutions. He is the past President of the Southern Idaho Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and candidate guidance chair and has served on various local community boards and organization committees.

Kris Haynes, Associate Commercial Appraiser
Mr. Haynes is a staff appraiser with L&A and has been involved in real estate appraisal since 2011. Currently, Kris specializes in providing appraisal and real estate services for private and public sector institutions. Before joining L&A, Kris was the Director of Research with Colliers International specializing in commercial real estate market research.

Greg Contos, Residential and Commercial Appraiser
Mr. Contos is an associate of L&A. Greg has been involved in various types of real estate appraisal and small office development since 1989. His coverage includes all areas of Idaho for a variety of lending institutions, developers, and government agencies.
Richard Holm, JR., Research Assistant
Mr. Holm started with L&A in 2015 as an Associate Appraiser. Richard has an extensive background in historical research and government contracting. Presently he is a back county pilot and is interested in BLM land acquisitions and property with historical significance.
Anna Augusto, Office Manager and Research Assistant
Ms. Augusto started with L&A in April, 2021 and serves as a research assistant, database administrator and office manager. Anna investigates public records and assessor’s data and pursues additional data related avenues such as surveys and market analysis. Anna has a Bachelor of Science from Idaho State University. She has an extensive background in accounting and lending support.
Tianna Hinson, Associate Appraiser
Ms. Hinson joined L & A in 2021 and is presently obtaining the required education and experience to apply for her Idaho Appraisal Trainee License. Ms. Hinson has a Bachelor of Arts in English from Boise State University and grew up in Valley County, where her mother and father are leading real estate agents in the resort community of McCall, Idaho.
David Poulsen, Associate Appraiser
Mr. Poulsen joined L & A in 2021 and is presently obtaining the required education and experience to apply for his Idaho Appraisal Trainee License. Mr. Poulsen has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Utah and has most recently worked as a residential real estate agent in Utah before returning to his hometown of Boise, Idaho. Mr. Poulsen desires to pursue his Certified General License in the near term and eventually an MAI designation.
